When I get an idea, I want to see how my idea works. Art supplies aren't cheap and I don't want to waste them; so I always start small. If my idea works, then I can move on to a larger project.
With this painting I was exploring different techniques and how they interact with each other in watercolor.
For this project I only used the brush to lay water and my paint, but not move it. I wanted so see how the paint flowed over the paper just by letting it run, and what happens when a large force of air hits the paint.
I was not disappointed with my end result. However, I have not used these techniques together since this painting, but I have used them both in many other paintings independently and with other techniques.
